We continued north to Sheboygan, Wis. We took pictures of our approach points that we'll encounter next week during the actual race. This gives us an advantage by knowing what to expect. After lunch and some fuel, we flew to another stop along the race route in Eveleth, Minn. We debated whether or not to continue to another stop. We were both tired and there looked to be some precipitation along our path, but we ultimately decided to continue to Huron, S.D. We arrived in Huron in time for one of the airport personnel to give us a ride to the local hotel. So here we are, resting in South Datkota. Tomorrow we'll fly south to the starting point of the race in Wichita, Kan. where we'll meet with other racers and prepare for the actual competition. Wish us luck, and thank all of you for your support! --Sarah Tower Media contact: Thom Myers, 269 387-8400, thom.myers@wmich.edu WMU News |
