Krisy Mahome wins third straight MAC title

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's Krisy Mahome won her third consecutive Mid-American Conference championship in the 400 meter dash at the recent MAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships held at Eastern Michigan University.
Mahome, a junior from Harvey, Ill., clocked a 55.75 in the finals to edge out EMU's Bria Woods (55.94). Mahome's time was WMU's second fastest of the season.
WMU finished fifth in the 13-team field. Central Michigan took home the team title with 103 points, followed by Eastern Michigan (92.5), Kent State (90.5), Ball State (77) and WMU (57).
