
Trudy Cobb presents at California TechEd conference

KALAMAZOO--Trudy Cobb, an associate professor of dance at
Western Michigan University, will give a presentation titled
"Computer, Camera, Action!" at the annual TechEd Events
conference March 22-24 in Ontario, Calif.
Cobb's lecture will explain and demonstrate the uses of video
capture, CD-Rom, WebCT and motion analysis software as tools
to enhance dance training in the studio and during rehearsals.
A member of the WMU faculty since 1991, Cobb has used technology
as a tool in the studio since she began teaching in the 1970s.
TechEd Events is a program of the Community College Foundation,
a non-profit organization founded in 1983 and dedicated to excellence
in education through effective uses of the latest technology
solutions. TechEd Events produces annual events focused on partnering
educators and the technology industry to learn from one another
about new technology, teaching practices, and emerging trends
that are affecting how students learn.
