Free poison prevention kits available at Sindecuse
March 11, 2004
KALAMAZOO--The Sindecuse Health Center Pharmacy is supporting
national Poison Prevention Week, March 21-27, by offering free
informational materials to the Western Michigan University community.
A child in the United States is accidentally poisoned every
30 seconds. Poison Prevention Week helps raise awareness of the
dangers of accidental poisoning and encourages people to take
preventive measures.
Among those measures is picking up a Sindecuse Pharmacy poison
prevention folder, which contains a poison fact sheet, a safety
tip sheet, a poison prevention checklist, activity sheets, "Officer
Ugg" stickers, and a poison safety refrigerator magnet aimed
at both parents and their children.
For more about Poison Prevention Week or to obtain a poison
prevention folder, visit the Sindecuse Pharmacy or call one of
its pharmacists at 387-3301.
