
Broncos host College of Charleston in Bracket Buster

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's men's basketball
team hosts the College of Charleston Saturday, Feb. 21, as part
of the ESPN Bracket Buster.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 at 4 p.m., the first-ever
nationally televised game from University Arena. Only 10 of the
46 teams participating earned spots in the five national broadcasts.
The College of Charleston is a member of the Southern Conference
and owns an overall record of 15-3, 7-1 in the league, and has
a Rating Percentage Index of 75. The game will mark the first-ever
meeting between the two schools in men's basketball. The two
squads do not have any common opponents in 2003-04, but both
advanced to the first round of the National Invitation Tournament
in 2002-03, with the Broncos defeating Illinois-Chicago and the
Charleston Cougars downing Kent State.
Also on Feb. 21, the WMU women's basketball team hosts Ohio
and the hockey team entertains Ohio State. Scheduled starting
times for both of those games are expected to be adjusted
