Granholm honored today at reception

KALAMAZOO -- More than 100 community and campus leaders will gather at Western Michigan University today, Nov. 5, to honor Gov. Jennifer Granholm for her efforts in promoting economic development in Kalamazoo County.
WMU President Judith I. Bailey will act as host for the event, which is scheduled from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Gilmore Theatre Atrium. Bailey, who will thank the governor for her economic development work, will introduce Granholm, who is expected to make brief remarks.
Attending the reception, which is by invitation only, will be West Michigan legislators, Kalamazoo and Portage city leaders, area economic development officials and business leaders, and WMU senior staff and student leadership.
