'Fire & Water' choral concert is Saturday

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's Collegiate Singers and Concert Choir present a free concert titled "Fire & Water" Saturday, Nov. 22, beginning at 8:15 p.m. in the Dalton Center Recital Hall.
The concert features thematic music by Eric Whitacre, R. Murray Shaffer, Georg Schumann, Giovanni Palestrina, and George Frideric Handel. The featured work on the program is Johann Sebastian Bach's Cantata BWV 34, "O ewiges Feuer." Collegiate Singers is conducted by Dr. Joe Miller, director of choral studies, and the Concert Choir is conducted by Jeffe Huls, a choral conducting graduate assistant.
