Student Web site urges "Help Higher Ed"

KALAMAZOO -- A Web site created by students at Northern Michigan University is making the case for Michigan higher education as the state makes new budget decisions. All 15 of Michigan's public universities have joined in the campaign. To get involved, go to <www.helphighered.org>.
The site met its initial goal of gathering 2,000 letters and e-mail messages to send state legislators by Friday, Oct. 24, and is now trying to demonstrate even more support for higher education as the budget process continues.
