Campus community to observe moment of silence
Sept. 10, 2003
KALAMAZOO -- A campuswide moment of silence will be observed
at Western Michigan University Thursday at 9:11 a.m. in remembrance
of the thousands of Americans who lost their lives the morning
of Sept. 11, 2001.
President Judith I. Bailey has endorsed a formal resolution
of the Western Student Association calling for the moment of
silence, and she asks the entire campus community to participate.
Other activities scheduled in conjunction with the second
anniversary of 9.11 include a panel discussion at the Lee Honors
College, a prayer vigil at the Kruglak Sundial and the second
annual candlelight procession from Miller Auditorium to Goldsworth
Valley. More information about these and other activities is
available in other WMU News stories.
