WMU Web will be "off line" Sunday

KALAMAZOO -- All Western Michigan University Web pages located
at www.wmich.edu will be unavailable Sunday, Aug. 17, from midnight
to 8 a.m. Eastern Time.
Web pages on other servers, such as vms.cc.wmich.edu, wmubroncos.com and millerauditorium.com, will not be affected. Faculty, staff and student personal pages are also unaffected.
According to officials in the Office of Information Technology, the scheduled downtime is for conversion to a new Web server that will provide greater security and efficiency. During Sunday's conversion, University Web pages will not be available on the World Wide Web, and Web managers will not be able to access or update page. Among the pages that will not be available are the WMU home page and WMU News.
WMU faculty members who wish to submit grades online during the period that the main Web server is unavailable may go directly to the "Grade Course Request" page at <vms.cc.wmich.edu/www/grade_course.html>. Faculty members may wish to bookmark this page for future direct access.
