
High school musicians perform at cathedral's Sunday service

KALAMAZOO -- High school musicians from Seminar 2003 will
provide special music for the morning worship service at Kalamazoo's
Cathedral Church of Christ the King Sunday, July 20.
For the 35th consecutive year, choral and brass music will
be performed by participants in Seminar, a high school music
camp sponsored by the School of Music at Western Michigan University.
The 38-voice choir will be conducted by Dr. Joe Miller, director
of choral studies at WMU. The 22-member brass ensemble will perform
under the direction of Dr. Steve Wolfinbarger, professor of trombone.
The prelude recital begins at 9:15 a.m., and the worship service
begins at 9:30 a.m. The sermon will be delivered by The Right
Reverend Cynthia Black, who will also serve as Celebrant. The
Cathedral Church of Christ the King is an Episcopal cathedral
located at 2600 Vincent Ave., just north of I-94 near Oakland
Drive.
