Student volunteers help clean up Goldsworth Pond
June 19, 2003
KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University students are working
with WMU Landscape Services and the Environmental Studies Program
to help bioremediate Goldsworth Pond.
On Friday, June 20, between 8 a.m. and noon, student volunteers
will plant and mulch hundreds of native plants around the pond
as part of an effort to help cleanse the pond of pollutants.
In addition to landscape services and environmental studies,
Students for a Sustainable Earth, a WMU registered student organization,
is a major sponsor the activity.
