'Celebration of Women' fundraiser is Thursday

KALAMAZOO -- "A Celebration of Women" fund-raising event, featuring poetry, music, dance and a variety of other presentations, will be held Thursday, June 12, at Kraftbrau Brewery from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Western's Organization for Women, or WOW, is sponsoring the event. Donations of $5 or more will be accepted at the door to support future WOW programs and activities. WMU students and other members of the community will read poetry, perform musical selections and offer other performances around the main theme of celebrating women. There will also be an open mic session. Everyone is welcome to attend, perform and bring any form of art done by women.
Kraftbrau Brewery is located at 402 E. Kalamazoo Ave. in downtown Kalamazoo.
