Williamson authors definitive Christian martial arts book
April 14, 2003
KALAMAZOO -- Wendy S. Williamson, coordinator of study abroad
at Western Michigan University, will be featured at a signing
for her 2002 book, "Martial Arts: The Christian Way,"
from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Family Christian
Bookstore in Kalamazoo.
Williamson's 160-page work, published by Agapy Publishing,
has received good reviews and been selected as a text book by
the American College of Martial Science. Her book explains how
the martial arts can be intertwined to create a practical and
effective form of youth ministry and evangelism. It is the only
book marketed today that covers the concept of Christian martial
arts in its entirety.
Williamson is a Christian black belt instructor who has a
master of arts in counselor education. Involved with the martial
arts for nearly 20 years, she has taught Christian-centered karate
classes around the world in three different languages.
