
Trombone Choir offers free performance

KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan University Trombone Choir
will present its annual spring concert Wednesday, April 9, in
the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The concert begins at 8:15 p.m.
and is open to the public free of charge.
The 16-member Trombone Choir is conducted by Dr. Steve Wolfinbarger.
It will present a varied program of music from the Renaissance
to the present, featuring works by composers Giovanni Gabrieli,
Jacob Arcadelt, Simon and Garfunkel, Gordon Jacob, Michael Davis,
and Irv Wagner.
The program is being presented as part of International Trombone
Week, April 6-12; a global effort by the International Trombone
Association to expose people worldwide to the trombone.
