
Gold Company concert concludes jazz festival

KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University's award-winning vocal
jazz ensemble, Gold Company, performs in concert Saturday, March
29, beginning at 8 p.m. in the Dalton Center Recital Hall.
Tickets for the March 29 Gold Company concert are available
at the door and are $10 per person. Students and seniors citizens
will be admitted for $5.
The concert concludes the 25th annual vocal jazz festival.
During the day, high school, college and university vocal jazz
ensembles from nine states and Canada will perform. The Gold
Company concert will serve as a prelude to the ensemble's appearance
at Alice Tully Hall in New York City's Lincoln Center April 29,
which will be followed by a three-week concert tour in South
Africa.
Gold Company is under the direction of Dr. Stephen Zegree,
professor of music, who has served as the ensemble's director
for 25 years.
