Sabbatical leaves approved for 37 faculty members

KALAMAZOO -- A total of 37 Western Michigan University faculty members were granted sabbatical leaves Dec. 13 by the WMU Board of Trustees.
Granted sabbatical leaves for the 2003-2004 academic year were: Dr. Robert L. Anemone, associate professor of anthropology; Dr. Jan L. Bedrosian, professor of speech pathology and audiology; Dr. Jose A. Brandao, associate professor of history; Dr. Ellen H. Brinkley, professor of English; Dr. Benjamin Caballero, associate professor of foreign languages and literature; Dr. Paul C. Clements, associate professor of political science; Dr. Janet L. Coryell, professor of history; Cat Louise Crotchett, associate professor of art; Dr. Satish P. Deshpande, professor of management; Dr. Tycho K. Fredericks, associate professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering; Dr. M. Arthur Garmon, associate professor of teaching, learning and leadership; Dr. Jaimy Gordon, professor of English; Dr. Richard B. Hathaway, professor of mechanical and aeronautical engineering; Dr. Emily I. Hauptmann, associate professor of political science; Dr. Elizabeth A. Hoger, associate professor of business information systems; Dr. Thomas R. Holmes, associate professor of community health services; and Dr. Antonio M. Isea, associate professor of foreign languages and literatures.
