Proposals sought for 2003 MLK celebrationNov. 18, 2002 KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan University community is invited to participate in the 2003 celebration of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Martin Luther King Jr. Committee is organizing events that will take place the week of Jan 21-25, 2003. Committee members are seeking proposals for MLK activities, and limited funding is available for some uses. To ensure coordination and maximize publicity for the week, any person or organization planning an MLK-related event--even those not seeking funding--should submit a proposal.
