KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University and the Battle Creek
Area Chamber of Commerce are joining forces for a program Monday,
Nov. 11, when a local accounting manager will help entrepreneurs
decide if QuickBooks software is a good option for their business.
Bridget Daniel of Alternative Tax Solutions will present "Is
QuickBooks Right for You?" from 6 to 8 p.m. at WMU-Battle
Creek's Kendall Center, 50 West Jackson. Part of a monthly series
co-sponsored by WMU's Women's Business Development Center and
the chamber, the program is free and open to the public.
Daniel will outline things entrepreneurs should know before
buying QuickBooks; give an overview of the small business accounting
software's capabilities; and touch on the EasyStep interview,
setup of chart of accounts and how to navigate the program. She
will also offer tips for banking and for setting up employees
and customers.
An accounting manager at Alternative Tax Solutions in Battle
Creek, Daniel prepares tax returns for individuals and businesses
as well as periodic federal, state and local tax forms. She frequently
instructs clients on how to use and get the most out of QuickBooks
software. A graduate of Kellogg Community College, where she
earned her associate's degree in accounting and business management,
she is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree at Siena Heights
University.
