
Western Winds offers free Wednesday evening concert

KALAMAZOO -- The Western Winds, conducted by Robert Spaulding,
will perform in the Dalton Center Recital Hall Wednesday, Nov.
6, beginning at 8:15 p.m. The concert is free and open to the
public.
The Western Winds is a chamber wind ensemble comprised of
faculty and students in the Western Michigan University School
of Music. The Nov. 6 program will include performances by the
Graduate Brass and Wind Quintets. The quintets will feature compositions
by Ewald and Hindemith, while the Western Winds will present
movements from Mozart's Serenade No. 10 in B-flat, and Kurka's
Good Soldier Schweik Suite.
