Concert Artist Series features award-winning Finnish pianistOct. 13, 2002 KALAMAZOO -- The WMU School of Music's Young Concert Artist Series presents Finnish pianist Paavali Jumppanen in concert Tuesday, Oct. 29, beginning at 8:15 p.m. Jumppanen will perform a program including works by Mozart, Chopin, Boulez and Liszt in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. First Prize winner in the 200 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, Jumppanen also is the recipient of the first Miriam Horowitz Meckler Award, established by YCA alumna pianist Ruth Laredo in honor of her mother.
