
CAB brings comedian/songwriter Stephen Lynch to campus

KALAMAZOO -- Popular comedian and songwriter Stephen Lynch is
set to perform at Western Michigan University Thursday, Sept.
19, at 9 p.m.
This show contains mature subject matter and is not be appropriate
for all ages or audiences.
Lynch's one-man show, "I'll See You in Hell--An Evening
of Love Songs," is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board
and will be held in the Bernhard Center Ballroom. Tickets for
the show are available at the door, starting one hour before
the performance. Tickets are $1 with student ID, $2 without.
Since launching his career at New York's legendary "Catch
A Rising Star," Lynch has garnered a loyal following that
can't get enough of his signature twisted love songs. In August
2000, Lynch gained his first television special, "Comedy
Central Presents Stephen Lynch." That was followed by a
41-city college tour in support of his debut CD, "A Little
Bit Special."
Lynch has opened for such headline performers as Steven Wright,
Jeff Foxworthy, Bobcat Goldthwait, Anthony Clark, Yo La Tengo
and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Television credits include hosting
VH-1's Street Games as well as appearances on Comedy Central's
"Premium Blend" and "Hi-Fi party", hosted
by Sandra Bernhard and Issac Hayes.
Kalamazoo native and WMU alumnus Lynch moved to New York City
in 1996. He received a bachelor of arts degree in theatre from
WMU in 1993.
