Need a little help?

Aug. 29, 2002

KALAMAZOO -- In an effort to address everything from student questions about last-minute schedule changes to faculty inquiries about classroom locations, the WMU College of Education will offer the Sangren Hall Help Desk from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, and Thursday, Sept. 5. The desk closes at noon Friday, Sept. 6.

"You name it, they ask about it," said Amy Burns of the dean's office. "We try to help everybody who comes through. Some need directions to class. Others are looking for campus maps, or searching for lecture halls."

This is the third year that the staff of the college have offered the help station. Located on the second floor of Sangren Hall, the desk is easily accessible to education students and others looking for assistance. Centralizing the help desk also helps keep students from wandering throughout the building or drifting into offices asking questions during the college's busy advisement period.

For information, call the College of Education at (269) 387-2966.
