CAB brings the Bandoleros to Miller Auditorium
Aug. 30, 2002
KALAMAZOO -- Featuring music that blends Spanish, Mediterranean,
and African influences, the Bandoleros will perform at Western
Michigan University Friday, Sept. 6, beginning at 8 p.m.
WMU's Campus Activities Board is sponsoring the concert in
Miller Auditorium. All tickets are $5 general admission and available
through the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office at 269 387-2300.
The sound of the Bandoleros is often compared to that of the
Gipsy Kings, combining percussive guitars, driving drums, and
haunting vocals to create a sound characterized by the fusion
of flamenco, pop, rumba, and folk music from around the globe.
The group, which has performed more than 200 shows per year since
1995, just released their second album, "Bandolero."
