Trustees approve faculty promotions

KALAMAZOO -- The promotions of 63 faculty members at Western Michigan University were approved May 17 by the WMU Board of Trustees.
Sixteen faculty members were promoted to the rank of full professor and 41 to associate professor. Four faculty members also were promoted to the position of associate academic career specialist and two others to assistant academic career specialist. All of the promotions are effective with the beginning of the 2002-03 academic year.
