
Hockey Broncos earn CCHA honors

KALAMAZOO -- Two members of the WMU hockey team were honored
this week by the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. Junior
defenseman Dave Cousineau earned CCHA All-Academic accolades,
and freshman forward Pat Dwyer was named to the CCHA All-Rookie
Team.
Cousineau of Waterloo, Ont., has set career highs in goals,
assists and points this season and is the co-leader among league
defensemen in scoring. He leads the Broncos in shots (101) and
is fourth in scoring with 32 points. Cousineau maintains a 3.67
grade-point average as an integrated supply management major.
Dwyer of Great Falls, Mont., leads all CCHA rookies in scoring
with 33 points. He also ranks ninth in CCHA power play goals
with six and 10th in shooting percentage (.208). He stands second
in WMU goal-scoring with 16 tallies on the season.
