The Atlanta-based 112 quartet has recorded several albums.
Their self-titled 1996 debut album, which produced the hit singles
"Only You" and "Cupid," and the 1998 release
"Room 112" both achieved double-platinum status, selling
more than two million copies. The latest album from 112, "Part
III," features successful singles, "Dance with Me,"
"It's Over Now" and "Peaches & Cream."
The style of 112 has been described as a mixture of ballads
and up-tempo R&B. The group has worked with many other successful
artists, including Wayne Morris of Boyz II Men, Al B. Sure, the
late Notorious B.I.G., and Mase.
In 1998, 112 served as the opening act for singer Whitney
Houston's nationwide tour. When asked about the group, Houston
remarked that they are "incredible and one of the most beautifully
soulful groups out there." More recently, 112 served as
an opening act for Janet Jackson on her latest tour.
