Alumnus named president of Unitrin

CHICAGO -- Donald G. Southwell, a 1973 graduate of Western Michigan University, has been named to the board of directors of Unitrin, Inc. Southwell was simultaneously promoted from senior vice president to president and chief operating officer of the Chicago-based company.
Southwell was a member of the Lee Honors College at WMU and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in mathematics.
