
Paw Paw Fest features plays by WMU student

KALAMAZOO -- The Paw Paw Village Players' fifth annual One
Acts Fest will feature eight plays from six area authors, including
two by Western Michigan University student Bethany Gibson. Performances
begin at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturday, Feb. 14-16, at the
Paw Paw Village Players theatre, 404 E. Michigan Ave., Paw Paw,
Mich.
Gibson earned an undergraduate degree in creative writing
from WMU in 2000 and is pursuing an M.F.A. in drama through the
Department of English. Her plays in the One Act Fest are titled
"Live Through This" and "Special Delivery."
"We're very proud of our playwriting students,"
says Arnie Johnston, English department chair, "and Bethany
is certainly one of the shining lights in that program."
Tickets for the event are $5 for adults and $3 for children
and can be reserved by calling the Paw Paw Village Players at
