
WMU closed for holiday break

KALAMAZOO -- With very few exceptions, Western Michigan University
offices are closed for holiday break from 5 p.m. Friday, Dec.
21, until 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2.
Essential and emergency services will be maintained with reduced
staff and hours. In the event of an emergency, contact the Department
of Public Safety at 269 387-5555.
Sindecuse Health Center will be open with reduced staff from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 26-28. The center will be closed all
other days during the holiday break.
The Student Recreation Center will be open Dec. 22-23 from
noon to 4 p.m., Dec. 27-28 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Dec. 29-30
from noon to 4 p.m. The center will be closed Dec. 24-26, Dec.
31 and Jan. 1. For more information or to confirm recreation

Included among the offices closed throughout the holiday break
are the admissions office, alumni relations and development offices,
all student services offices, Waldo Library and other University
libraries, and the University Computing Center and computing
labs.
Public events
Two varsity basketball games, Dec. 21 and 22, are the only
public events scheduled during the holiday break. On Friday,
Dec. 21, the Bronco women's basketball team hosts Wake Forest
beginning at 7 p.m. The men's basketball team hosts Marshall
University in a Mid-American Conference contest beginning at
2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22. Both games are in University Arena
and tickets may be purchased at the door.
