
Seth honored by recreation professionals

KALAMAZOO -- Amy J. Seth, WMU director of recreation programs
and facilities, was honored by her professional peers early this
month at an annual conference held in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Seth was awarded the Tom R. Jones Outstanding Member Award
by the Michigan Intramural Recreational Sports Association during
MIRSA's Nov. 1-2 conference at the University of Michigan. The
Jones Award, named for a longtime Central Michigan University
recreation administrator, is the highest honor given by the MIRSA.
Seth was recognized for demonstrating outstanding leadership
and service in the MIRSA and on behalf of recreational sports
in the state of Michigan. She served as state director of MIRSA
from 1998 to 2000 and also has served the organization as associate
state director and treasurer/secretary. She has served as director
of recreational programs and facilities at Western Michigan University
since January 2000.
