
Crary and Pipis are new royal couple

KALAMAZOO -- Scott K. Crary of Imlay City, Mich., and Alison
S. Pipis of Newport, Mich., were crowned the 2001 Homecoming
King and Queen for Western Michigan University during the homecoming
halftime show Oct. 13.
Both Crary and Pipis were nominated by the Western Student
Association and joined 43 other nominees in an interview process
conducted by the University's Homecoming Committee to narrow
the field of candidates. WMU students made the final decision
through a popular vote held on campus.
Crary is a senior majoring in public relations, and Pipis,
also a senior, is pursuing a double major in advertising and
promotion and public relations.
