WMU senior chosen as MAC scholar-athlete

KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University senior Megan Ramey and Miami University junior Brian Godsey were selected from among 14 finalists in seven fall sports as the Mid-American Conference Scholar Athletes for the week of Oct. 1. Ramey is a goalie for the WMU women's soccer team. Godsey participates in cross country at Miami.
A psychology major from Sylvania, Ohio, Ramey is maintaining a 3.82 overall grade point average. During the previous week's soccer competitions, she posted two shutouts versus Mid-American Conference opponents, helping the Broncos remain undefeated, 4-0, in MAC competition this season. Ramey has surrendered an average of just 1.09 goals-per-game for all contests this season and has not allowed more than two goals in any game.
