Korth studies euro during faculty exchange in Germany
Sept. 20, 2001
KALAMAZOO -- Christopher M. Korth, WMU professor of finance
and commercial law, spent six weeks in Germany this summer at
the University of Passau.
As WMU's candidate for the WMU-Passau faculty-exchange program,
he worked with students and faculty; delivered three presentations
on "An American View of the Euro;" and appeared in
the local media. While overseas, he also visited the Frankfurt
and Amsterdam stock exchanges to study the impact of the euro,
the new European currency, as well as the mergers taking place
among Europe's 37 stock exchanges.
