
Football at Michigan postponed, Volleyball canceled

KALAMAZOO -- The football game between Western Michigan University
and the University of Michigan, scheduled for this Saturday,
Sept. 15, in Ann Arbor, has been postponed as a result of the
tragedies this week in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania and New
York. A new date for the contest has not been announced.
Watch Parties for the football game, sponsored by the WMU
Alumni Association, also have been postponed pending announcement
of the new date for the contest. Watch parties were scheduled
in 10 cities and seven states across the country.
The volleyball tournament at Ohio State University in which
Western Michigan was scheduled to compete this weekend, Sept.
14-15, has been canceled. In addition to WMU, teams slated to
compete in the tournament were San Diego State, West Virginia
and host Ohio State.
