New hiring form online for student jobs on campus

KALAMAZOO -- Effective Aug. 27, new online forms will be used to hire students for employment at the University. Staff members authorized to hire students, or "hiring agents," will be able to submit the forms through the human resources Web site.
Staff members who will be processing student employment hiring for their departments must obtain a User ID and password to use the online forms. To do so, staff should complete the Student Employment Online Hiring Authorization form, which can be accessed from the project information Web site at <www.wmich.edu/hr/SEinfo.htm>.
Hiring agents are also asked to attend a one-hour training session on Aug. 20, 21, 22, 28 or 29. Hiring agents who have not returned their authorization and training registration forms, which were due Aug. 3, are asked to do so immediately.
The online form replaces the S016 cards currently used.
