Education student lands MACTE scholarshipMay 1, 2001 KALAMAZOO -- A Western Michigan University student has won a scholarship from the Michigan Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. Crystalyn Gusse of Warren, Mich., a senior who recently graduated from WMU with a degree in secondary education, was selected as a finalist for the 2001 MACTE scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Scholarship winners were notified in early April. "We were very pleased with the quality of the applicants," says Mary L. Otto, co-chairperson of the MACTE Scholarship Committee.
