Parking lot closures minimal for Bush visit

KALAMAZOO -- Parking availability at WMU will be only slightly curtailed as a result of President Bush's visit to campus today (March 27).
Lot #29, a service lot for the Student Recreation Center, and Lot #18, the small lot on the east side of University Arena will be closed. The employee half of Lot #16, located on the west side of University Arena will be closed, along with half of Lot #13, which is across Western Avenue from the SRC.
Employees displaced by the closures are urged to park in Parking Ramp #1 or in the Ebert Field area. Unauthorized cars in any of the closed areas will be subject to towing.
No road closures have been announced, but all members of the University community are urged to avoid the immediate vicinity of the SRC from mid-morning until 3:30 p.m.
