WMU offices closed through Jan. 1
Dec. 22, 2000
KALAMAZOO -- Except for essential services, Western Michigan
University offices are closed for holiday break through Monday,
Jan. 1, 2001. All offices will reopen on their normal schedules
beginning Tuesday, Jan. 2. Classes for winter semester begin
at 4 p.m. Jan. 2.
Nearly all administrative and academic offices are closed
throughout the break. Among the offices and facilities that are
not open during holiday break are Admissions and Orientation,
Alumni Relations and the University Libraries.
Among the offices and facilities that are open during
holiday break -- many with reduced staff or hours -- are Public
Safety, Sindecuse Health Center and the Student Recreation Center.
The Development Office will also be open with reduced staff on
Dec. 27 and 28 to receive end-of-the-tax-year gifts to the University.
The only scheduled public event on the Kalamazoo campus
during holiday break is a men's basketball game vs Oakland University,
beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30. That game will be held
in University Arena.
WMU News will be updated as necessary throughout the holiday
break with any cancellations or schedule changes. To report any
schedule changes or emergency announcements during holiday break,
