'A Christmas Carol' at Miller for one performanceNov. 27, 2000 KALAMAZOO -- Charles Dickens' holiday classic "A Christmas Carol" will be staged by the Nebraska Theatre Caravan at Miller Auditorium on Friday, Dec. 1. The single performance begins at 7 p.m. Attending a performance of "A Christmas Carol" is a family tradition all across the country. For 21 years, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan has toured this adaptation of holiday classic, delighting audiences nationwide. The Caravan's production of "A Christmas Carol" is a unique retelling of the familiar tale. Traditional Christmas carols were carefully chosen to create a specific dramatic effect. Although the carols themselves are traditional, the scoring is contemporary and exceptionally beautiful. The ornamental set, which recreates 1880s London, gives the entire production the effect of being a Christmas card come to life. Tickets for "A Christmas Carol" range from $25 to $10. Tickets may be ordered by calling the Miller Auditorium ticket office at 616 387-2300, toll free at 800 228-9858, or online at www.millerauditorium.com.
