
Women's soccer team wins at CMU

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -- WMU's women's soccer team earned a
big win in double overtime at Central Michigan on Friday (Oct.
13). The Broncos improved to 8-5-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the Mid-American
Conference with the 2-1 victory at Mt. Pleasant.
Western Michigan received goals by freshman Cindy Webber,
in regulation, and from Erin Ivory. The senior from Rochester
Hills, Mich., scored at 1:18:21, in the second overtime, to give
the Broncos the win.
WMU is now in sole possession of third place in the Mid-American
Conference, just two points behind league-leaders Buffalo and
Miami.
WMU has three matches remaining on its MAC regular season
schedule, all on the road. The Broncos are at Eastern Michigan
on Sunday, Oct. 15. Next weekend, WMU travels to Ohio University,
Oct. 20, and to Marshall, Oct. 22.
