Alumni gather for WMU versus Wisconsin football
Aug. 8, 2000
KALAMAZOO -- The WMU Alumni Association has planned an exciting
way for alumni throughout the Midwest to end the summer with
a bang. The association will play host to a special get-togther
5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, in Madison, Wis., before the football
Broncos' season opener against the University of Wisconsin Badgers,
the 2000 Rose Bowl champions.
The event will be held a few blocks from the Wisconsin stadium
at Union South (227 N. Randall). It will include a complete tailgate
dinner. And the alumni association has arranged to bring a little
bit of campus to the event. Representatives from several WMU
colleges will have visual displays set up for alumni and friends
to view. They also will share what the future holds for their
academic units, in terms of curricula as well as construction,
and for the University as a whole.
Tickets are available for the alumni event only as well as
for the event and football game. Prices vary depending on the
package purchased and the attendant's age and Alumni Association
membership status. The deadline for reservations is Friday, Aug.
18.
