Football Broncos edge EMU in overtime

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The WMU football Broncos (4-2 overall, 3-0 MAC) defeated Eastern Michigan, 40-37, in overtime in Ypsilanti on Saturday (Oct. 9). With the win, the Broncos maintain sole possession of first place in the Mid-American Conference West Division.

Tim Lester, who entered the game as the NCAA leader in touchdown passes, completed 19 of 30 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns. Lester now has 20 touchdown passes this season.

On the receiving end of all three touchdown passes was Steve Neal, who now has 22 touchdown receptions for his career.

The Broncos host Buffalo on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m. in Waldo Stadium.
