Special July 13 performance of Summer Orientation Cabaret Show

KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan University Orientation Program, in conjunction with the Department of Theatre, will present the 25th Annual Summer Orientation Cabaret Show. In celebration of the 25th season, the WMU campus community is invited to attend a special performance on Tuesday, July 13 at 7 p.m. in the Laura V. Shaw Theatre.

The Summer Orientation Cabaret Show is an improvisational script produced each year by theatre students and is presented to all incoming Western Michigan University freshmen at orientation. The performance offers its audience a unique view of university life as seen by the director and the cast. The goal of the production is to help introduce incoming students to the college lifestyle as well as to the WMU campus community.

The 25th Annual Summer Orientation Cabaret Show company includes director, Brian P. Sage; stage manager, Nichole Shuman; music director, Joseph Dornoff; production designer Erich Keil; and cast members E. Vincent Teninty, Christopher M. Gavin, Stephen Kadwell, Michelle Cowin, Elizabeth A. Smalley, and Jessica L. DeVries.

The July 13 performance is open to all members of the WMU campus community. A reception will follow in the Atrium Lobby of the Gilmore Theatre Complex. There is no charge, but reservations are required by June 30 and may be made by calling 616 387-2166.
