Courses will help students prepare for graduate school exams

KALAMAZOO--Students planning to go to graduate school can get a head start on getting ready for their entrance examinations by taking a preparation course at Western Michigan University.

WMU is offering two non-credit preparation courses, one for those who will be taking the Graduate Management Admissions Test and one for those who will be taking the Graduate Record Examination.

The courses, sponsored by the Office of Professional Programs and Conferences, will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. over four Saturdays in Sangren Hall.

Classes for the GMAT preparation course will be on Feb. 21, Feb. 28, March 7 and March 14. Topics covered will include reading comprehension, sentence correction, critical reasoning, problem solving and mathematics.

Classes for the GRE preparation course will be on March 7, 14, 21 and 28. Topics covered will include verbal ability, mathematics, problem solving, quantity comparison and analytical ability.
