Your students can access library materials from your E-Learning (WebCT Vista) page. Here are some options for ways to lead your students to library resources:
When you request materials for course reserves, a course reserve account is created for your class. Articles and short readings will be provided electronically. If we don't have an article full text online, but we have it in print, it will be scanned and a link provided. If we don't have the article in any form, please give us a copy, copyright issues will be resolved, and again, a link to an electronic copy will be provided. Books, videos, and sound recordings will be available at course reserve desks. More detailed instructions are available.
You can find the exact link to the Course Reserves for your class, by clicking into the e-reserves until you get to the screen with your name and class, where students have to usually enter a password and accept the copyright guidelines. The URL on that screen is specific to your class.
Please remember to add the password to your syllabus and near any link to the course reserves (as long as it is not on the open Web.)
We are still learning how best to provide library resources through WebCT and are open to suggestions on ways we at the libraries can help you provide a better teaching environment.
