How can I learn about myself?

Go to the FOCUS web site. This is a free software tool helpful in career and education planning.
Take the WMU Career Guidance Inventory (scroll down to find information). Cost is $10 for WMU students.
Talk to a career counselor at the Counseling & Testing Center (scroll down to find information).
Take general education and elective courses in subjects that interest you.
Volunteer or join a campus organization.
Spend a semester in another country in Study Abroad.

Take UNIV 1020 Career Exploration and Development, a one-credit elective designed to help you explore major and career opportunities.
Check out the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Outlook Handbook online.
Check out the Bronco Jobs website.
Use Discover, a user-friendly software program on computers at Career & Student Employment Services, the Bernhard & UCC Computer Labs, and Counseling and Testing Services.
Browse through What can I do with this major? which will help you connect majors with careers.

Contact Career & Student Employment Services to set up an appointment with a career advisor.
Talk to academic advisors for the colleges which interest you.
Schedule an appointment at the Counseling and Testing Center.
Browse through the many excellent online resources that are available. You might begin here.
See the Vault On-line Career Library , a comprehensive on-line career library. Access or download resources on employers, career path options for your occupation, and advice for interviewing and salary negotiation.. You can access it by logging into GoWMU. Click on the "Student Services" tab and go to the "Career Panning & Employment Resources" channel. Once there, click on the "Vault On-Line Career Library" to explore this on-line database.
