Declaring Your Major

When you are ready to declare a major, you should meet with an advisor in the appropriate advising office. Some offices work on a walk-in basis, and some on an appointment basis, so call ahead.

If you choose a major in the College of Arts and Sciences, you will have an advisor within the College and also an advisor within your major department.

If you want to major in Music, Dance, Theatre, or Art, check with the advisor early to see what special application materials or auditions are required and what deadlines you may have to meet.
