We are located on the second floor of Moore Hall in room 2041. For directions see Moore Hall.
University Curriculum is the temporary advising home for undergraduates who are exploring potential majors but are not ready to declare. More entering freshmen come into University Curriculum than into any other advising unit. We encourage our students to actively explore their interests, values, and skills and to think about how these might match potential careers so that they will be able to declare their majors by their sophomore year.
We also advise the following:
We pride ourselves in offering individual attention to students' concerns, and we are staffed by skilled advisors who focus on the whole student. Our appointments are 1/2 hour long, during which we may discuss with a student:
WMU policies
Campus resources available to meet students' needs
Career exploration
Classes to fill general education areas and to explore majors
We encourage our students to see us as often as needed, but at least once per semester, for help with choosing classes for the next semester.
