All nominations must be made by the students' middle school band director.
Each middle school nominating students must provide at least one chaperone, the band director or other school authorized person, that will accompany and be responsible for their student(s) throughout the day.
Each nominated student must be able to be at Western Michigan University from 8:30am to 9pm on the day of the conference.
Each nominated student or the middle school that nominated them must be able and willing to pay a $10 participation fee if they are chosen for the Honor Band.
The middle school band director and/or each student's middle school is responsible for obtaining permission for each student to travel to and be on the campus of Western Michigan University and to participate in the conference. Western Michigan University and the organizing committee are not responsible for the middle school students that come to campus for this conference.
